What Sets GroCo Apart

Big-Contractor Capability. Without Big-Contractor Hand-Offs.

Most commercial flooring in Kansas City comes from one of two places. The big enterprise contractors — staffed for stadium-scale projects, with corresponding overhead, lead times, and project-manager hand-offs. Or the residential installers — set up for garage floors, trying to scale into commercial work they aren’t equipped for.

Both have their place. Neither is how we operate.

GroCo is built around a simple commitment: every commercial project — whether it’s a regional manufacturing facility, a multi-building school district contract, or a single brewery floor — gets the same diagnostic-first process, the same multi-manufacturer recommendation, and an owner walking the work from site survey to closeout.

Big enough to handle the work. Small enough that you’ll never wonder who’s actually in charge of your project.

How We Work

Every Project Starts With a Site Survey — Not a Sales Pitch.

Most epoxy contractors install whatever system they sell. We work with multiple manufacturers — Sherwin-Williams, Sika, Tnemec, Florock, Dur-A-Flex, ResTek — because no single flooring system is right for every commercial floor.

Before we recommend anything, we walk your facility. We assess the concrete substrate, your traffic profile, your chemical exposure, your operational constraints, and your budget. Then — and only then — do we recommend a system.

It’s a slower way to start a project. It’s also why our floors hold up when the wrong-system installations down the street are failing in 18 months.

Step 1
Site Survey by an Owner

Michael or Colby personally walks your facility. Not a sales rep, not a junior estimator.

Step 2
Concrete & Operations Assessment

Substrate condition, moisture, traffic, chemicals, downtime tolerance — all on the table.

Step 3
System Recommendation

Right system for your floor, with trade-offs explained — not a default sales pitch.

What Makes Us Different

Why Commercial Buyers Choose GroCo.

01

An owner walks every job.

Co-founders Michael Groff and Colby Coda personally conduct site surveys, sign proposals, walk projects, and close them out. You don’t get handed off to a junior project manager mid-job. Eighteen years of combined commercial experience, with you the entire way.

02

We diagnose first, then recommend.

We work with multiple manufacturers — Sherwin-Williams, Sika, Tnemec, Florock, Dur-A-Flex, ResTek — so the system we recommend is the right one for your floor, not the one we’re locked into selling. Every project starts with a real site survey.

03

Two locations, six-state reach.

Offices in Kansas City and Springfield, MO mean faster mobilization across Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. We meet you where you are.

04

We turn down jobs we shouldn’t take.

If your facility is better served by a different contractor — too small, too residential, too specialized in a niche we don’t do well — we’ll tell you. The wrong job is worse for everyone than no job.

How to Start

Start With a Free Site Survey.

Before we recommend a flooring system or prepare a proposal, we need to understand your space. Schedule a site survey and an owner — not a sales rep — walks your facility, assesses your concrete, and identifies the right solution for your environment and budget.

No pressure. No one-size-fits-all pitch. Just the right information to start your project correctly.
